Hi my name is Joshua M. and I am doing a blog for ELA. I’m in class 505. I am the ELA blogger. I never did a ELA blog so let’s see how it goes.
In ELA we are use the purple book that is about rainforest researchers. This week, we are using two texts and we compare and contrast them. Both texts are interviews with researchers. One researcher works with sloths and the other works with insects. Both work in the rainforest. I liked the sloth researcher interview best because it showed what they had to do to get the sloth, which was a funny thing to imagine chasing this slow animal through the tree canopy. We also learned that sloths have this thing on their fur called algae which makes it look greenish. That is so weird because algae is usually in the ocean or water.
I asked my classmates some questions. Here is what they had to say.
Q: What do you like about ELA?
Jeremy: I like to do the thinking maps and different kinds of maps. I like to do RADDIs too.
Q: What does ELA help you with?
Jacob: ELA helps me with reading and it helps me with RADDIs and helps me to answer questions.
See you next week!
